Yesterday marked a momentous occasion for my twin mom friend Kelly and I. Our twin girls are 9 months apart, and a day we've been longing for and dreaming about finally happened yesterday. We've had play dates and dinner dates as a family since the girls were sitting in high chairs. Back in those days, when we were chasing crawling little ones, changing diapers and cleaning up spit up, we'd say to one another, "One day, they'll sit together and eat their dinner and play with each other without us having to intervene and stay on top of them."
When we said that two+ years ago, it felt like that day would never come, almost like we were longing for something that would never be real. Well, it finally happened. She and I caught up over wine while she cooked, the girls played outside with their dads and we actually got to have a real conversation with few interruptions. We even put them all in a bath together and brought Joy and Coral home in borrowed pjs.
As I reflected on what a great night it was, I realized that manifesting our desires is no different. When we start to imagine something new in our lives, it feels out of reach and like it will never happen. In the short term, we continue living many of the realities that we're looking to release. But, if we keep the faith and trust the process, goals will unfold and dreams will come true.Things that seemed impossible at one point in our lives will become the very reality we are living!
When life seems impossible and my dreams feel far, far away, I'm going to remind myself of this fun night with our friends and the life lessons our growing girls teach us.
I help people be true to their inner calling and lead the life they love.
